I’m a journalist who has spent 15 years reporting everywhere from the halls of Congress and State Department in Washington, D.C. to my own county commission in Metro Atlanta.

I started this site and newsletter because I wanted a space to do reporting and offer commentary that doesn’t sit neatly in partisan echo chambers. It’s become harder and harder to land stories that don’t hew to one party’s narrative or another. If you subscribe to this site, I can guarantee you that you will read stories and columns that adhere exactly to what you believe and that challenge your thinking.

The goal of The American Saga is to chronicle politics and life in this great big beautiful country we call home, and I’m so glad you’re joining me as a reader. Please consider subscribing to get these stories directly in your inbox, and I would be grateful to have your financial support as well. The more support I get, the more time I can dedicate to producing news and views here.
