Kind of reminds me of the work of Deeyah Khan. You need to spend time with the "other" side of these equations if you want enact change

This is absolutely inspiring. I heard of a similar service for sexual offenders. I think this is a smart and effective way to manage this difficult issues. It is focused on harm reduction, solutions, and treats offenders as if they’re capable of changing and managing their behaviour, rather than just as “bad” people.
