I especially appreciated the comparison with Warren. What people who use sexism as the main reason for Harris’ loss also fail to realize is that everyday people experience double standards all the time. They essentially have to suck it up and try harder. It isn’t right but we hardly have the opportunity to sit and moan about it much less present our feelings on television. So, a lot of us aren’t going to take kindly to someone who is richer and more powerful bemoaning similar challenges. Furthermore, we have recent memories of how this excuse was used after HRC’s loss too. If they really believed sexism was the main problem, why run with another woman? Why do so without putting her through the usual process? For me, it just continues to highlight how disconnected the Democratic Party insists on being. Maybe it’s a form of denial and they are working their way through the stages of grief, not just for Harris’ loss but for the challenges against the establishment they hoped to exploit a little longer. But again, if so, their public mourning is underscoring how out of touch they are. The Democratic Party is filled with privileged leaders who refuse to accept that people are angry at them for not doing their jobs better. It is especially galling because many of us don’t have time to mourn. Aside from the obvious, many of us suffer real life consequences when we continually fail to meet the expectations of those who we answer to. The Democratic Party machine seems largely unchanged despite the losses. Yet, those who they are supposed to answer to - THE PEOPLE - have expressed their displeasure. The winning approach would be to reflect and recalibrate. But things like blaming sexism is little more than the next phase in the Democratic Party’s gaslighting machine.
Some form of inequality is necessary but it's streaming inequality could lead to the destruction of a good society even though I like you loting musk I feel like Bernie Sanders does have a point that three people Elon Bloomberg and Jeff bezos making more than the average people said of Americans could be unhealthy
Good comparison with Warren. Sure there’s plenty of criticisms of her but when she went on Girls Gotta Eat podcast and right out the gate was like “Amazon doesn’t pay any taxes, they’re an evil monopoly and I want to kill them” I was sold. Thinking about it, she was slightly ahead of her time, using tactics that worked for trump this election: going on popular podcasts, economic populism, aggressive speech. I just wish her and her kind would embrace the importance of gun rights to unionization.
What I will always fail to wrap my head around is the cognitive dissonance of people (mostly politicians and partizan shills) who cry about sexism and misogyny plaguing America and yet they decide to run a female of color candidate against what they think is the greatest threat to democracy in the world. Why willingly decide to lose it you know already that America is filled with awful electors? Seems like Orwellian double think to me
I get tired of being considered a perpetual victim simply because I'm female.
It is pathetic watching Dems attribute their election loss to racism/sexism, when Trump voters are all over the Inter Webs clearly stating that they voted for him because of the economy, immigration, censorship, & endless wars.
You know what I think conservatives and liberals need to work together for space travel to give our people hope for the future in space can be a great thing for that colonizing Mars even though it will probably take 10 or 20 years or even a hundred years a goal like that could be great for humanity it gives us hope for the future and gives us a goal beyond ourselves
I’ve had some great conversations with my friends who are Democrats/liberal and we both agree that sexism is a real problem. But, the way Dems and the left present it does a disservice to actually solving the issue.
Personally, I’m more conservative and I see sexism. But when an attempt is made to mention it it’s basically countered with “That’s not happening, you just need to work hard harder.”
All this is to say, I think there has to be more nuanced conversations about sexism and people of all ideologies need to work harder to support truly the best and the brightest.
Democrats if you keep up this game of blaming sexism racism for everything you're going to end up with Tulsa Gavin is the first female president and also by the way the same racist in Mexican men voted 50% for a rock Obama overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton and voted a female president into Mexico so I don't think sexism is a Mr blame it has something to do with more normal things like butter being $7

Thank you!
